Chobe National Park in Botswana holds the highest density of elephant anywhere in Africa — an estimated 120,000 of them. It is 1.5 hours from Victoria Falls, which makes a full-day trip entirely doable.
The day pairs a morning game drive through the park with an afternoon cruise on the Chobe River, where elephant herds cross the water and hippo and croc line the banks. You are back at your lodge by evening.
